I was brushing my teeth preparing for the bed time, clearing my mind from all the busy stuffs done in the day time. Just couple of minutes ago, my brother (with 3 kids) shared a photo of how he helped his kids to submit / collect homework from school physically, by dropping / taking from the boxes on the floor.

Then, these questions came to my mind:

  • Could submitting / collecting homework be done digitally as well?
  • Is digitalization on education merely making the lesson online?
  • What is our digitalization plan / blueprint on education system?
  • How can we leverage on the digital and technology advancement to modernized our education system?

Since we are already doing the classes online, I was thinking:

  • Are we able to break through the physical boundary, where our kids can freely pick up the courses or lessons they want to learn globally, rather than sticking to the journeys / syllabus designed within Malaysia (or wherever our kids are physically at)?
  • Do we still need to stick to the conventional path, where our kids have to spent the 6 years in Primary school, 5 years in Secondary schools, and 4 years in university to get a certificate with a convocation ceremony?

Global Access

Are we still thinking about “where” to send our kids to further study in the future? Do we still have such concern if digitalization is done appropriately and wholistically? With all the resources available online, what would be the limit for our kids to learn something out of the box and what not used to be in the standard syllabus?

Has someone already designed a wholistic online education system, which paves the way from a growing kids to a contributing adult, and to be part of the society?

I'm going to find out more.
